I love what they say

Molly had an allergic reaction to her amoxicillin. Dr. Wiley wanted to see her and all her many spots. Molly was looking at books in the exam room while we were waiting. When Dr. Wiley came in, I asked her to put the book away. She gave me a very grumpy face.

Dr. Wiley: Molly, are you grumpy today?

Molly: (hand on hip) Yes. Dr. Wiley, I thought being polka-dotted would be fun. It's not Dr. Wiley. It's not. I promise you, it's not.

Dr. Wiley and I exchanged looks and rolled with laughter.

Jack walked in the kitchen with a handful of play money. in a deep voice: "Hi! I'm Jefferson and I'm wealthy. I am gonna buy a plane cause people named Jefferson can do that. Yep!"

They crack me up all the time. I wish I could remember more of the things they say.

Playing with the Townsends

Nana called on Monday to see if Molly wanted to come for a short visit this week. Of course! Molly was thrilled! My Aunt Becky and Uncle Rick were in the Richmond area Wednesday and offered to deliver Molly to Nana at Courtney's house. (got that?) Anyway, so afterwards, I took JAck over to his BFF's house for a play date. Wyatt and Jack have so much fun together. They are both sweet natured boys who are "all boy" and love to play hard. Wyatt has a little sister Scarlett. She is so sweet and beautiful and loves Rebecca. I can see them as friends one day. Becca loves her and lights up when she is around. Anya and I took them for a wagon ride. It was Becca's first ever. Becca looks like such a big girl to me all the sudden. :(
I love this picture. I was trying to only get Scarlett, but Becca is doing something so funny I couldn't crop her out!

a VERY big rock...

I have had 3 sick kids. So we've been under a rock so to speak. I have seen Dr. Wiley 5 times in 2 weeks. Because it would just be to convenient to have everyone get sick on the same day. Nope, we like to spread it over several days. Molly had an allergic reaction to amoxicillin so we had to go back for that. As Emily likes to say DRAMA!

Anyway, I've snapped lots of pictures because we've been stuck at home a lot. I was making dinner when Molly sat down next to Becca so I grabbed the camera. (I have to mention Becca's new favorite thing to do. She loves to pull hair. )

Here are my sweet girls...

Becca getting a handful of Molly's golden locks.
Loving it....
Counting to see how many she got!
Becca, diaper clad, playing on the floor.

Watching me make dinner.
This was "Mix up night." Scott called around 4pm to say he wouldn't be home in time for dinner. Shortly after he called, my friend Sarah called to see if we wanted to get ice-cream before dinner. Hence "mix-up night". So we met them for ice-cream and then went home to have breakfast for dinner. They wanted oatmeal which is easy enough for me!!! They loved doing everything mixed-up and it was a great night!
i LOVE this picture. i LOVE it.
The weather has been awesome. No rain, but awesome. We played outside all one morning this week.

Looking for bugs...
The first sick day. Molly and Jack both had sinus infections and Becca had a double ear infection. They all are doing much better now.

Playing in the Kitchen

When Becca isn't eating or sleeping, she wants to be sitting on the ground. Gone are the saucer & chair days. So Thursday, I was cooking dinner and Becca needed something to play with. I got her a pot and silicone spatula to play with. Molly came in moments later and said "Playing in the Kitchen!!"It is the title to a song we learned in Miss Lisa's Music class this spring about the very thing Becca was doing. So Molly pulled out a pot, got a spoon and joined her sister. This of course roused Jack's curiosity, so he came in and said, "Playing in the Kitchen!!". He too pulled out something (tops to be symbols) and began playing. Molly and Jack took turns switching instruments, but Becca wouldn't give hers up! I had to work around them to get dinner finished, but it was lots of fun for everyone!

Monkey PJs and Dress up

I am a sucker for cute PJs...especially if my kiddies can match. Here they are in monkey PJs.
Molly and Jack LOVE dress up. The were playing King, Queen and baby. I guess I need to get Jack some "Kingly" duds.
Already a princess...

Dress-up and pretend continue to be Molly and Jack's favorite things to play. I am fortunate that they love playing together and that they play so well for long periods of time.

Old Girl

My cat Fannie was born 08-08-96. I snapped these pictures on her birthday as she rested in the sun. I got her shortly after I started dating Scott. I knew he was allergic (VERY!) to cats but I still wanted one. We'd only been dating 3 months when I got her. At that point, I wasn't sure he'd be around 12 years later!! :)

My teaching assistant at the time knew I wanted a kitten. He lived in Chesterfield and had a neighbor who had a farm who's barn cat just had kittens. Brian went to visit the neighbor to see if he was selling/giving away the kittens. When Brian got there, the neighbor was placing the kittens in a trash bag because he couldn't be bothered with them. Brian asked to have one, reached in the bag and pulled out Fannie. He brought her to me the next day at school. She's been with me ever since. She's a good kitty and even catches a mouse once in a while. The children love her and she tolerates them.
